Meme works as Church Counsellor since 2018. Having the burden to reach out to the neglected community especially the alcoholics, she initiated in the founding of the Alcoholic Anonymous Ministry in 2016 in her local church. In her walk with this group of people, she found that the most talented, lovable, non-judgmental people are the most neglected. The need to empathize and walk on their shoes has helped her see the person in the light of the Gospel with full of grace. Since then, she has been working mostly with recovering alcoholics and their families. She also worked as Church Evangelist.
She believes that the need to do counselling has to go beyond the unconventional way of just talking, thereby challenging herself to learn new skills and techniques to enhance her counselling journey. Meme has the conviction that counselling is a safe haven because that’s where one can be most vulnerable without being judged. Biblical counselling holds the core value and at the end of the day it is the power of God that transforms lives.
